Domain Market Analyst
Position Summary
NameMedia is looking for a highly motivated and team oriented person to assist in the optimization and management of one of the world’s largest privately held domain name portfolios. This exciting and challenging position will call upon a diverse set of skills. The candidate must gather and process broad market intelligence, use long range strategic thinking, and have strong English language skills. The candidate will work closely with the Sales, Technology, and Media areas. NameMedia operates in a fast paced ecommerce environment set for continued growth. This unique opportunity offers the suitable candidate outstanding career growth potential. Position is located at NameMedia headquarters in Waltham, MA.
Primary Responsibilities
- Utilize top down market knowledge, proprietary valuation tools, and statistical data to acquire new domains for resale and development
- Be one of the first in the industry to discover new valuation and risk-return metrics and criteria
- Apply market research and proprietary valuation tools to appraise incoming domain sales leads
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Interest in internet media and domain industry
- Experience with an ecommerce company is preferred
- Willingness to work closely on a team in a goal driven environment
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
- Desire to learn and grow in a fast paced environment and rapidly growing company and industry
- Foreign language capabilities preferred, but not required
- Strong computer skills required
